We
have a lot of fun making crafts for sale at the We’ll start the fall with a craft meeting Wednesday September 15 at 10AM at the cottage. Let’s change the venue a little bit and make it a nice potluck each time. May I suggest that we have a salad bar this time and that we each bring a salad to share. Coffee and coffee-bread is always available to us. HPR rules indicate that we may only sell items twice a year, so we need to change whatever we do for the cottage, something we’ll talk about. We also need to take an inventory of available sales items, for accounting purposes. I have ordered nice little boxes for this year Christmas present for our members, and we are to fill them with home baked cookies next fall. The cookies we gave a few years ago were so appreciated that I think we can do it again. Anne-Marie will teach us how to knit potholders using a round knitting needle with Swedish designs. She will buy supplies, but if you have suitable yarn and round knitting needles please bring them along (check with Anne-Marie of appropriate needle size & type of yarn). We can work on the same things or individually as we want to and share our knowledge with one another. We can also paint, draw, glue, papier mache etc. The dates for this spring are the following: Jan 20, Feb 3 & 17, Mar 3 & 17, Apr 7 &21, May 5 & 19 See you at House of Sweden. Ingrid Englund
Ann Marie Kocherga teaches the Swedish classes and the craft classes.
